The Development

St. Ann’s Terrace, is a six building affordable housing development project located in the Melrose section of the Bronx. Upon completion, the development will have transformed a vacant three block parcel of land into an affordable mixed income, multi-generational residential community with commercial stores, such as a supermarket, as well as attended parking.

The site is bordered by St. Ann’s Avenue, East 156th Street, Eagle Avenue and East 159th Street and is short walk to several subway and bus lines. St. Ann’s Terrace was originally zoned for manufacturing use, but with the help of City of New York, it was rezoned to allow for affordable residential housing and retail. Working together with Department of City Planning, the development team designed each building to have its own personality that blends the context of the Melrose community.

A joint venture between Jackson Development Group and Joy Construction Corp. are the developers. Joy Construction is the General Contractor for the entire project.
